Treasure Tables

To simplify the assignment of treasures to lairs and monsters, the AD&DŽ game uses a set of alphabetic codes to categorize different sizes and types of treasure. Each monster listing in the Monstrous Compendium has a "Treasure Type" listing followed by a series of letters. These letters refer to Table 84 in Appendix 1 of the DMG.
